What is dry ice?
Dry ice is solid, frozen carbon dioxide (CO2) with an extremely low temperature of −78.5 °C. Unlike normal water ice, it does not melt but transitions directly into a gaseous state when warmed (sublimation). It therefore leaves no moisture and is ideal for cooling, cleaning, or smoke effects.

How long does dry ice last?
In a high-quality insulated thermobox, dry ice lasts for about 24 to 72 hours, depending on the total quantity and ambient temperature. Since the material degrades by about 10% to 20% daily due to continuous evaporation (sublimation), it should always be delivered as close as possible to the day of use. We always add a little extra dry ice to the thermobox during shipping to compensate for the natural loss during transport.
